Description
The specimen is a Fallopian tube grossly distended by an ectopic pregnancy. The foetus is intact in
the amnion and, at one point (11 o'clock), there is recognisable placental tissue; the rest of the
placenta has been destroyed by blood clot. The wall of the tube is ruptured at one point (7 o'clock)
and blood clot can be seen here.
